Quick Start Guide: How to Add Your First 2FA Account
1Step 1: Open the Scanner
Open Authenticator, tap the 【+】 icon at the top right of the home screen, and select 【Scan QR Code】.
2Step 2: Scan or Enter Manually
Focus your phone camera on the QR code provided by your service provider, or import a QR code from your Photo Library. If you cannot scan, you can choose to enter the secret key manually. Once recognized, a dynamic one-time passcode (OTP) will be generated.
3Step 3: Account Added Successfully
The account will be successfully added to the App. A new passcode is automatically generated every 30 seconds. You can copy it directly and use it in the 2FA fields when logging into your service provider's website or app.

Is it compatible with all services?

Yes, we provide a fully functional free version that supports core offline TOTP passcode generation and basic account management. To support continuous independent security audits, system maintenance, and new feature development, we offer a Pro subscription service. Upgrading to Pro unlocks advanced features such as unlimited account additions, end-to-end encrypted iCloud cross-device sync, CSV data import/export, and dedicated Apple Watch support.
Can I use the app without an internet connection?
Absolutely. The generation of TOTP (time-based one-time passcodes) is calculated locally based on your device's internal clock and the secret key seeds, and does not require any internet connection. Network connection is only required for optional features like iCloud cloud backup, cross-device synchronization, or when subscribing/restoring Pro membership.
How is my sensitive data handled?
We use a strict Zero-Knowledge security model. Your 2FA secret seeds are stored exclusively in your device's local secure sandbox and are encrypted using system-protected keys. When you enable iCloud sync, your data is fully end-to-end encrypted before it even leaves your device. This ensures that even if cloud servers are breached, your keys cannot be decrypted or read without your local device keys. We never collect or have access to your passwords or secret keys.
What should I do if I forget my App Lock passcode?
If you have FaceID/TouchID enabled, you can unlock the app using biometrics and reset your passcode. For maximum security, if you have not enabled biometrics or if biometric authentication fails, we cannot retrieve or reset the passcode for you. You will need to uninstall and reinstall the app, which will erase all local data. If you have previously enabled iCloud backup, you can seamlessly restore all your data after reinstalling and logging into the same Apple ID.
