1. Software License Grant & Scope (EULA)

1.1 License Grant: Subject to the terms of this Agreement, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable license to install and run the App on Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac desktop, and Apple Watch) and supported desktop web browsers (Chrome, Edge, Safari) that you legally own or control.

1.2 License Scope: All rights not expressly granted to you herein are reserved by us. This license does not constitute a sale or transfer of any intellectual property or source code rights in the App.

2. Features & Paid Value-Added Model

2.1 Core Free Features: The core functionality of the App—including RFC 6238-compliant offline TOTP generation, single-account management, and local hardware-encrypted storage—is free for all users.

2.2 Authenticator Pro Tier: To support ongoing independent security audits and advanced capability development, we provide an Authenticator Pro tier (unlocking unlimited accounts, multi-device iCloud sync, self-hosted WebDAV, Apple Watch standalone code generation, and browser extension bridging).

2.3 Membership Agreement Precedence: All terms governing Pro subscription plans, billing, free trials, auto-renewal mechanics, and Apple refund policies are governed strictly by our separate Membership Agreement. In the event of a conflict regarding paid features, the Membership Agreement shall govern.

3. Zero-Knowledge Model & User Responsibilities

3.1 Zero-Knowledge Architecture: You acknowledge and understand that the App operates strictly under a zero-knowledge, local-first security model. Your 2FA secret seeds and passwords reside exclusively on your local device's Secure Keychain. We maintain no intermediate cloud database and cannot view or decrypt your private credentials.

3.2 Device Protection: Passcodes in the App safeguard your critical digital accounts. You are solely responsible for maintaining device security and are strongly encouraged to enable Face ID, Touch ID, or App Lock.

3.3 Active Backup Obligation: Because we have zero access to your master keys, if you do not use cloud sync and forget your passcode, we are technically unable to recover your vault or passcodes. You must back up your data via iCloud or encrypted exports before wiping devices or uninstalling.

4. Intellectual Property Rights

4.1 All visual designs, graphics, branding, software code, workflows, and trade dress embodied in the App are the exclusive intellectual property of Nanjing Xiayuyue Network Technology Co., Ltd. and protected under applicable copyright, trademark, and patent laws.

4.2 Unauthorized duplication, distribution, reverse distribution, or commercial exploitation without prior written consent is strictly prohibited.

5. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

5.1 Provided "As-Is": The App is provided on an "As-Is" and "As-Available" basis. While we strive for uncompromising security, we disclaim liability for temporary interruptions resulting from telecom outages, Apple platform updates, force majeure, or unilateral protocol shifts by third-party services (such as Google, Microsoft, GitHub).

5.2 Consequential Damages Waiver: To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall we be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages (including lost profits, commercial loss, third-party account bans, or data corruption).

5.3 Liability Cap: Our aggregate cumulative liability arising under or relating to this Agreement shall under no circumstances exceed the total fees paid by you to us for the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

6. Third-Party Integrations & Privacy

6.1 The App integrates minimal, essential SDKs (such as UMeng and Adapty) strictly for performance telemetry and in-app purchase validation, as detailed in our Privacy Policy.

6.2 Network cellular data charges incurred during iCloud or WebDAV roaming remain your sole responsibility per your carrier contract.

7. Modifications, Governing Law & Jurisdiction

7.1 Modifications: We reserve the right to modify these Terms. Updated versions will be posted on our website and within the App. Your continued use constitutes acceptance of revised terms.

7.2 Governing Law & Disputes: This Agreement is governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Any dispute arising out of or relating to this Agreement shall be resolved through friendly negotiations. If unresolved, either party may file a lawsuit before the competent People's Court where Nanjing Xiayuyue Network Technology Co., Ltd. is located.
